UL94 test scope of application:
üThis standard is applicable to flammability testing of plastic parts of equipment and electrical appliances
üThe final qualification of a material depends on its use in the overall equipment and its compliance with the standards applicable to that equipment
üThis requirement can be applied to other non-metallic materials; but does not apply to building materials and decorative plastic materials
üThe methods described in this standard include standard size samples and are intended only to measure and describe the flammability of materials used in equipment and appliances relative to heat and flame in a controlled laboratory environment
Ä UL 94 Flammability Test – Classification
1) HB level: Horizontal Burning Test
üFor samples with a span of 75mm and a thickness of 3.0~13mm, the burning speed is ≤40 mm/min
üFor samples with a span of 75mm and a thickness of <3.0, the burning speed is ≤75 mm/min
üStop burning before 100mm
Samples whose results meet the above conditions are classified as HB grade
2) V0 -V2 level: Vertical Burning Test
