Airbus Standard: ABD 0031 – Aircraft Material Flame Retardant Test, Fire Test

Airbus Standard: ABD 0031 – Aircraft Material Flame Retardant Test, Fire Test

Because aircraft carry a large number of passengers, the fire risk is high and escape is difficult, so the required flame retardant performance level is also very strict.

material flame retardant testing, Fire Testing to prove

--acceptable control of fire hazard

--acceptable control of the total level of heat, smoke and toxic gases when all major material surfaces are exposed to fire sources

--materials or items required to be used as fireproof boards, as well as materials and items required to function when exposed to fire sources, should achieve acceptable fireproof performance

fire protection materials

--products (sealing rings)

--Fire retardant coating

--Fireproof glue

--cables

--Fire retardant fabrics (curtains, seat covers, carpets, etc.)
